Winter Solstice

Ingredients:
1 1/2 Parts Grey Goose Vodka
1/2 Parts Disaronno Orange Liqueur
1/2 Parts Sugar Syrup
3/4 Parts Fresh Lime Juice
1 Pinch Powdered Ginger
1 tsp. Sesame Oil
1 tsp. Sugar
Star Anise to garnish

Instructions:
A shaker
Some cubed ice
Some star anise
A spice grater
A strainer
A sieve

Follow these steps:
1. You can either buy pre-mixed sugar syrup or if you want to make your own, you can find instructions in the Masterclass section.
2. Chill your glass (the easiest way is to fill it with ice.)
3. Put lots of ice and all of the ingredients into a shaker.
4. Then shake hard for about 30 seconds to chill the liquid really well.
5. Wet the outside of your glass rim with sesame oil (just use your fingertip), and then roll the rim in sugar.
6. Double strain the mix into the glass.
7. Grate a little star anise onto the surface of the drink and drop the remainder into the drink to garnish.

The Winter Solstice is a rich vodka cocktail that has a warm but fresh orange taste with a hint of spice.
