Ingredients

2 oz. Gin
.5 oz. Simple Syrup
.5 oz. Lemon Juice
1 sprig of Rosemary

Instructions

Combine all ingredients into a shaker. Shake, then double strain into large coupe glass.
Top with champagne.  Garnish with Rosemary sprig.

Midnight Martini

Ingredients

1 oz. Gin
1 oz. Dry Vermouth

Mix together with crushed ice in a glass and garnish with mint leaves.

1 1/2 ounces Vodka or Coffee Vodka
1/2 ounce Coffee Liqueur
1/4 ounce Cinnamon Syrup (Optional)
Garnish: Lemon Twist

Pour the ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice.
Stir with a bar spoon.
Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
Garnish with a lemon twist.

Midnight Martinis are also often served as a shooter -- just shake, strain into a shot glass.

1 1/2 ounces Irish Whiskey
 or Rum
1/2 oz. Irish Cream Liqueur (Bailey's)
Dollop of Grand Mariner Whip Cream
1/2 oz. Hazlenut Liqueur (Frangelico)
Hot Coffee

Directions

In a glass coffee mug, stir together whiskey, hazelnut liqueur, and Irish cream; top with coffee.
Garnish cocktail and serve immediately.

Grinch cocktail

This simple, tasty cocktail blends the honeydew flavor of Midori with lemon juice and simple syrup.  It gets its name the Grinch from its green color.  It’s easy to make one drink at a time.  But you can also mix up a pitcher of it before a party.

Ingredients

2 ounces Midori
½ ounce lemon juice
1 teaspoon simple syrup

Instructions

Fill cocktail shaker with ice, and pour in all the ingredients.

Shake well until chilled.
Strain into a chilled martini glass.
Garnish with a maraschino cherry.

4 c. Cran-Apple Juice
2 bottles Red Moscato
1 bottle Red Prosecco
1/2 c. Vodka
2 c. Frozen Cranberries
1/3 c. Mint Leaves
1/2 c. Sugar, for rimming glasses
2 limes, sliced into rounds

1. Using a wedge of lime, wet the rim of the glasses. Dip in sugar until coated.
2. Combine all ingredients into a punch bowl, stir together and serve.

Instructions

Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice and shake well.
Double strain into a rocks glass with big ice cube.
Garnish with a lemon segment on top of the ice cube.

Winter Solstice Cocktail

Ingredients

1 1/2 ounces Orange Vodka
1/2 ounce freshly squeezed lemon juice
1/2 ounce orange-flavored liqueur (Cointreau)
Club Soda, chilled
Ice cubes
1 mint leaf for garnish
1 raspberry for garnish




Directions

In a cocktail shaker, combine vodka, orange liqueur, lemon juice, and ice; shake well until combined.  Strain into a chilled martini glass; add a glass of soda.  Carefully fold leaf mint in half lengthwise and place the stem end into the opening of the raspberry.  Float on top of cocktail and serve immediately.

Sugarplum Brandy Cider

This recipe from the Imbibe Test Kitchen offers a unique twist on mulled cider, and the cider-soaked orange pieces add a delicious surprise to every glass.

4 1/2–6 oz. Slivovitz plum brandy
24 oz. unsweetened apple cider
3 Tbsp. brown sugar
3 mandarin oranges, peeled and sectioned
6–9 whole cloves
3–4 cinnamon sticks
Tools: large pot, ladle
Glass: mugs or punch cups

Combine ingredients in a large pot and warm over low heat for at least 30 minutes, watching to make sure it doesn’t boil. Ladle cider into cups, straining out spices or leaving them in, according to personal taste. Make sure each cup gets at least one cider-soaked orange section. Add an optional garnish of a sugarplum (traditionally, a round or disc-shaped candy). Serves 6.

B&B stands for Brandy & Benedictine; it's that simple. It is one of the icons of fine drinking and is truly a classic cocktail.

1 ounce Brandy
1 ounce Benedictine

How to make it:

Pour the liquors into a brandy snifter.
Stir well.
Add ice if you like.

You can also use the back of a spoon to gently float the brandy on top of the liqueur.

Sidecar Cocktail

There are many variations and here is one that is simple and classic.

The Sidecar

1 1/2 ounces of  cognac
3/4 ounce Cointreau
3/4 ounce lemon juice

Rub rim of chilled cocktail glass with lemon and dip rim with sugar. Shake all ingredients with cracked ice and then strain into cocktail glass.

1 oz. fresh lime juice
3/4 simple syrup
Lime wedge for serving

Directions

Shake vodka, lime juice, and simple syrup. Pour into cocktail glass and garnish with lime wedge.
