Harvey Wallbanger

The Harvey Wallbanger is a modern classic that combines a Screwdriver with the Italian liqueur Galliano.  Reportedly born in the 50's, the cocktail was a hit in the 1970's.

1 1/4 oz. Vodka
3 oz. Orange Juice
1/2 oz. Galliano Liqueur
Garnish:  Orange slice

How to make the Harvey Wallbanger cocktail:

Add the vodka and the orange juice to a tall glass over ice and stir.
Float the Galliano on top.
Garnish with an orange slice.

Ingredients:

2 oz. Whiskey
1 oz. Ginger Liqueur
Ginger Ale
Dash of Blood Orange Bitters

Directions:

Mix over ice in a rocks glass.
Garnish with a slice of fresh ginger.

Ingredients:

2 parts Basil Hayden's Bourbon
3/4 parts Heering Cherry Liqueur
1 dash Aromatics Bitters
2 parts Milk Stout Beer
Fresh Nutmeg

Instructions:

1. Combine bourbon, cherry liqueur, and bitters in a mixing glass.
2. Add ice and shake.
3. Roll in the milk stout beer.
4. Strain into an old fashioned glass with ice.
5. Garnish with freshly grated nutmeg and cherry on top.

Angel's Kiss

Ingredients:

1/4 oz. White Crème de cacao
1/4 oz. Sloe Gin
1/4 oz. Brandy
1/4 oz. Light Cream

Pour ingredients carefully, in order given, into a pousse café glass so that they do not mix.
Serve in pousse glass.  No garnish. (In the picture it looks like there's a cherry).

Pousse Café Glass- A small cylindrical glass, with or without a stem, used for serving "pousse café" (layered drinks).  The shape of the glass makes it easier to layer the ingredients.

The Ingredients:

37 ml Light Rum
12 1/2 ml Triple Sec
1 dash Maraschino Liqueur
12 1/2 ml Lime Juice

Pour the ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice cubes.
Shake well for 20 seconds.
Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

Social and Cocktail says:  This is basically a maraschino flavored Daquiri and makes for the perfect summer day drink.

Gin Cobbler

Ingredients:

1 tsp. Superfine Sugar
3 oz. Club Soda
1 slice lemon (or lime)
2 oz. Gin
1 maraschino cherry
1 slice orange

In an old fashioned glass, dissolve the sugar in the club soda.  Add crushed ice until the glass is almost full.  Add the gin.  Stir well.  Garnish with the cherry and the orange and the lemon slices.  Serve in an old fashioned glass.

Vodka Collins

Ingredients:

2 oz. Vodka
1/2 oz. Lime Juice
1 oz. Simple Syrup
5 oz. Club Soda
Method: Prepare in a shaker
Glass: Collins


Recipe:

Put the first three ingredients into Collins glass with ice.
Top the glass with soda.
Serve the drink with sizzle stick.

Tequila Mockingbird

Ingredients:

2 oz. Don Julio Blanco Tequila
.5 oz. Aperol
.5 oz. St. Germain
1.5 oz. grapefruit juice

Instructions:

Muddle 4 basil leaves in a shaker with St. Germain.
Add ice, tequila and grapefruit juice.
Shake ingredients with ice, strain and pour into a martini glass.
Add the Aperol as a float on top, and garnish with a basil leaf.

Beat The Heat Slushies

Ingredients:

4 c frozen raspberries
1 (750ml) bottle White Wine
1 1/2 oz. cans Spindthrift Raspberry Lime
1/4 c Vodka
Juice of 1/2 lime
4 slices of lime for garnish


Directions:

Combine raspberries, wine, Spindthrift (Sparkling Water) and lime juice in blender and blend until smooth.  Divide among glasses and garnish each with a slice of lime.
