Snowballs

A Snowball is a mixture of advocaat and lemonade in approximately equal parts. It may have other ingredients, to taste.

It typically contains a squeeze of fresh lime juice, which is shaken with the advocaat before pouring into a glass and topping up with lemonade.

Snowballs (different versions)

The Snowball cocktail - makes one cocktail

2 ounces Advocaat*
2 ounces lemonade

In a double rock glass or a chimney glass, add Advocaat.  Top with ice and add lemonade.  Stir brieflly to mix.  Serve.  (whiskedfoodie.com)

*Advocaat liqueur
Advocaat is a Dutch liqueur, made from a rich and creamy blend of unpasteurized egg yolks, sugar, aromatic spirits, and grape brandy with a hint of vanilla.  It has a distinctive smooth yellow consistency with a strength akin to fortified wine.

Snowballs

3 oz. vodka
2 oz. light rum
1 oz. peach schnapps
1-2 cups ice

Pour all ingredients into a blender.  Blend on high until the ice is crushed completely.  Pour into a Collins glass, and serve into two highball glasses or one very tall glass.  (drinksmixer.com)

Snowball #2 recipe

1 part Advocaat liqueur
2 parts Sprite® soda
ice cubes

Take the glass and rub on a lemon, then dip the rim in sugar. Drop the ice cubes into the glass  Pour a 1/3 liqueur and fill it up with Sprite.  Stir.  Serve in a cocktail glass.  (drinksmixer.com)

Snowball #3

1 oz Jack Daniel's® Tennessee whiskey
1 oz Rumple Minze® peppermint liqueur

Mix together into a double shot glass and serve. (drinksmixer.com)


Rumple Minze is a strong peppermint-flavored German schnapps.
