Valentine's Day and Ash Wednesday last fell on the same day in 1945, according to USAToday.com.

Oddly, Easter Sunday will also be on the same day as another much less solemn "holiday" this year - April 1 or April Fool's Day. 

Ash Wednesday always falls between Feb. 4 and March 10.
